January 21, 2004 my life changed forever — I learned (to my own shock) that I was going to become a mother. September 23, 2004 that change became reality with Maya’s arrival.
This blog covers the typical new-parent gushing and photos that will bore the pants off most people. It also explores my thoughts and feelings as I adjust to a completely new way of looking at life. Since I’m not doing this anonymously (that would kind of kill the point of sharing Maya’s photos with friends and family), I may not go as deep as I would otherwise, but I’m trying to be as honest as I can, as I have time.
I too found solice and deep understanding within my mommies group and continue to write in occasionally with little things that come up. Although my group has really shrunk this far after the birth of our babies, some of us are still glad to have the rest around. I have become a single mother since the birth of my baby, and although it has challeneges (like bathing alone - EVER!) we are doing well, and are both happier.
