She’s even getting a belly!

Maya has absolutely sprouted in the past week…I did the weigh me, weigh us method of checking her weight this morning, and she’s now 13 pounds, 6 ounces (13.4lbs) per my likely-unreliable scale. That’s a pound heavier than her six month check, which was only three weeks ago, yay! I noticed this morning that she now has a bit of a belly, and her 3/6mo pants are even snug. Amazing. Last week was the week for new tricks (sitting up, which she now does like a pro), so this week was all about getting bigger.

Next (so far) seems to be lunging out from a sitting position, which at this point means planting her face on the ground, ouch. What I’d LIKE to be next is learning to sit herself up, but for now she seems content to fall over, and yell for me to sit her back up again.
