Bear with me

I’m back-filling all the photos for a while, so there’s going to be a gap between the present and wherever the photos end. Right now, I’ve gotten September’s pictures done, which seems really good until I realize that only takes me up until Maya’s a week old!

Today she’s 7 weeks old, and when I look at the tiny hand in the photo post-birth, it’s amazing that she’s the same baby. Just in the past week, it seems that her hands have grown by at least 1/3.

For weights and measures, I’m going to add those in also at the appropriate dates once I have my copy of all my prenatal charts. I suppose I *could* add my weight in there too…

As of today, I’m down to 161.8 — still a good 15+ pounds heavier than I’ve ever been, but great progress when you consider that a month ago I was 170, and 2-1/2 weeks before that, I was a pregnant 195. 8 pounds per month? Yeah, I can deal with that. Who am I kidding? 4-5 would be fine, as long as I’m working it off the right way.

Visit from Tita Laine

La-la-la-la-laine came out in early November to see little Miss Maya and enjoy the gorgeous weather. She swears that she’s only going to use Maya as a baby-fix, not inspiration…

Laine did a photo study of a sleeping 6-week-old baby girl.

The arm in the air was a common thing. Talk to the hand!

Alli with Babycakes hidden away in a sling…she snoozed when I hiked pregnant. Why should now be any different?

Why does saying goodbye have to be so tough?

Maya models her new OshKosh togs (gotta love outlet sales!)

Clay comes in for a closer look. Is that ALMOST a smile I see there?
