So, here Maya is, minding her own business, kick-boxing on the bed.

What have we here? Sniff, sniff, sniff…

Maya and her grandma show off the package that arrived from great-aunt Mary and 2nd cousin Megan. Wonder what’s in there?

A flame maple tree will grow at Maya’s grandparents’ house.

Icky? Maybe. But the placenta that nurtured Maya for nine months now gets to help a tree grow.

Covering the placenta with dirt before placing the tree helps keep the tree from being burned by all the nutrients released.

Allison heaves the ceremonial shovel of dirt in with Maya’s maple tree.

Aunt Rhonda and Uncle Mark sent Maya a care package from Arlington, Texas. This warm fuzzy jammy was in it — doesn’t Maya just look divine in PINK? On a cool fall day, this is just perfect to keep a little one warm. Yes, I like to put her in pink. What can I say? It looks good on her.)

After having her heel squeezed for the PKU test, Maya finally stops screaming and rests in Alli’s arms for a while.

Aunt Nancy brought Maya some clothes that actually fit her itty body. note that in November, these no longer fit!
